Michael Kors

This smells intoxicating for some reason! It is a little different than what I usually go for. Some of my favorite go-to fragrances have been Michael by Michael Kors, Chanel Coco Mademoiselle, Lancome Hypnose, and others, especially vanilla-based scents. This is more heavy on the floral notes, but it is a bit woodsy, which I love. I would call it chic and sophisticated. It is not super complex, nor is it too one-dimensional or boring. Sometimes heavy florals affect my allergies, but not this one. I find this to be a nice, pleasant surprise..

I received a sample of this scent. I like the complexity of it, it feels floral but in a more sophisticated way(?). Sometimes I see people poke fun of scents I happen love for them being too “juvenile” or “young,” but I suppose I understand what they are saying with some scents. I guess if you use those terms to describe fragrances, this particular perfume is sort of the “grown up” version of a girly, floral scent. It feels quite pleasant and I don’t feel it to be a scent that can only be worn in spring or summer. It has just a little bit of edge to make it work year round, imo. I was a bit surprised at the staying power though, for an expensive perfume I expected more. I felt this did not stay on more than a couple of hours. Scents are tough due to everyone’s different body chemistry, so perhaps you’ll be lucky and it would stay longer. I have no plans to repurchase solely due to the lack of staying power.

I've always loved Michael Kors fragrances and Wonderlust is WONDERFUL. Wonderlust is a beautiful bomb of powdery helitrope, almonds and sandalwood. This baby is one strong fragrance. I am a big fan of almond and almond milk notes and i love how the almonds in this fragrance push themselves front and center. Like a new born baby almost. When i first sprayed it on i could have sworn i detected orange or orange blossom but no. Those are not listed notes in this perfume. Maybe i was detecting the bergamot. It has a spicy kick to it which comes from the pink pepper and carnation. Also, the color palette on the bottle is beautiful. I like to picture myself sipping on sangria sitting on the beach in Rio de Janeiro.
