Why on Earth was this discontinued? This is such a fresh, sexy, nostalgic scent. One of those that has you trying to locate the happy, sweet memory it inspires but never quite pinning it down. I get a...

This is L'Artisan's banana perfume - who would have guessed! - decorated with violet, iris, musk and amber. I like L'Artisan's cheerful and creative interpretations of fruit and had high hopes for Ban...

I decided to enlist the help of a perfume purchaser to help me find a dupe for Issey Miyake's Le Feu d'Issey Light EDT, and after trying many samples, Arcana Rosa came closest. It is not the same, it'...

If smelling like a very sweet vanilla rice pudding is your thing, go for it, but this fragrance is way too foody (yucky) for me. First I can’t smell any saffron or barely, then the rose quickly fades ...

This is a very lovely, very surprising scent. I will say since so many of the great L'Artisan scents have been discontinued, it is hard to tell how a review or experience might be impacted by the unkn...

I go back and forth on this one. At first I found it overwhelming, and tucked it away. There was just too much brash tobacco smoke, and a weird tang that was extremely off-putting. It was too literal ...

I had very high hopes of this poetically named 'ode' to Camargue rice by Morillas but I'm disappointed. It is too volatile on me to be able to deliver its theoretical depth - rice and sandalwood toget...

A creative concept based on imaginary gardens, curiosity cabinets and art, a very beautiful bee bottle - or a former bottle- and unfortunately too much storytelling for a very bright, almost sharp, pl...

This EDT is a unisex fragrance that celebrates the national drink of Brazil, capirinha. It opens with lime, mint, salt and elements of the ocean surf. It kind of has a boozy quality without any booz...

About L'artisan parfumeur
Jean-François Laporte opened his first boutique on the rue de Grenelle, in Paris, in 1979. For the first time in several decades, a fragrance brand was born that was not the periphery business of a fashion label or designer, but a new niche brand in its own right. With this in mind, Jean-François Laporte opened his first retail store to offer his customers the most in depth and authentic experience possible, translating fragrance into a brand universe. Until then, only the larger historical brands had been able to do so, holding the monopoly for fragrance retail.
